Through engaging with the general public, school age children, undergraduate and graduate students, peers, and stakeholders the Arctic Science Partnership aims to improve awareness and knowledge of Arctic systems science research.


Each partner institution coordinates a variety of outreach activities that aim to:

  • share relevant and understandable scientific information to the public
  • cultivate an interest and appreciation for Arctic systems science
  • transfer knowledge and engage the public in Arctic related research and issues
  • inspire a new generation of scientists
  • to facilitate and promote scientific outreach within the scientific community



The Maamuitaau Ilinnia Field School Community Outreach - Kuujjuarapik - Whapmagoostui, QC, CAN

Community outreach was an important focus of the Maamuitaau Ilinnia Field School held February 15-22, 2014 at the Centre d'Etudes Nordiques (CEN) facility in Kuujjuarapik, QC. Field school students were involved in three community events with the intent to establish connections with the community and develop participant communication skills.  Outreach events included:

  2. Community Knowledge Exchange
  3. Arctic Science Day
